As the hiring company, we expect our ideal Research Software Engineer to hold a Master's Degree or PhD in Mathematics, Computing, Cryptography, or a similar relevant discipline from a top-tier university. We look for candidates who have working or research experience in Blockchain technologies and find particular importance in knowledge of zero-knowledge proofs. Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Rust, Solidity, Python, and C/C++ is essential. Additionally, we value experience with Smart Contract Auditing and a solid understanding of low-level software, whether as an engineer or researcher. A good grasp of mathematical models, particularly for financial instruments, and awareness of code security practices are critical. Lastly, we require a background in programming language theory and the ability to design solutions with long-term implications in mind.
Responsibilities
As a Research Software Engineer, you will review complex, high-assurance Smart Contract code. We expect you to apply your engineering skills to build custom tools that will facilitate the rapid assessment, exploration, or securing of code. Advising our clients to make informed decisions regarding the risks to their financial systems will be a key aspect of your role; your expertise will help in solving challenging security problems. In addition, you will have opportunities for personal and professional development, continuously enhancing your skills in this dynamic field.
