Lead Python Developer

- Lead the development and maintenance of software in line with our organizational objectives for your specific team. - Promote the creation of high-quality code using modern agile engineering practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and pair programming. - Collaborate closely with QA and Product teams, serving as an expert in various knowledge areas while encouraging knowledge development and sharing within the organization. - Identify opportunities for process improvements and act accordingly. - Encourage innovation by evaluating and adopting emerging technologies. - Work alongside the Head of Engineering in recruiting and onboarding team members, identifying capability gaps, and ensuring the continual development of your team through mentoring and coaching. - Act as a point of representation for engineering when collaborating with other Lead Software Developers, ensuring consistent working practices to minimize duplication and waste. - Contribute to and adhere to the Engineering Team Charter and other organizational strategies while encouraging team members to do the same. - Address performance issues effectively among team members. - Communicate clearly and concisely with executive-level individuals and non-technical stakeholders, utilizing clear language. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement within your team and throughout the engineering department.
