Responsibilities
In the role of IT Manager, you will lead a talented IT team to keep our systems and services running seamlessly from the head office to every branch in our network. With a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on leadership, you will ensure we remain secure, efficient, and innovative. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing all IT systems, infrastructure, and end-user services across multiple sites.
- Leading your team in delivering against development pipelines and driving continuous improvement.
- Overseeing supplier relationships to ensure quality, performance, and value.
- Setting and monitoring IT service standards, KPIs, and reporting performance across the business.
- Managing incidents, change control processes, and maintaining the IT Risk Register.
- Ensuring security, compliance, and service excellence across all platforms.
- Implementing innovative solutions to improve user experience and satisfaction.
Description
At TeacherActive, we are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking IT Manager to head up our IT function at our Birmingham Head Office. You will be the driving force behind secure, stable, and high-performing technology services across our UK-wide network, ensuring our people have the tools they need to succeed. We offer a salary between £55,000 and £65,000 and provide numerous benefits including 28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with service), an extra day off for your birthday, a life admin day, a paid charity day to volunteer, a fantastic healthcare plan to support your wellbeing, reduced working hours during school holidays for better work-life balance, and regular company events and celebrations. This is a full-time office-based position located in Birmingham.
