- Strong expertise in Workday data architecture.
- Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for both business and technical audiences.
- Deep knowledge of Workday Financial Management modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Management, Expenses, Procurement/Supplier Accounts, Banking & Settlement, and Financial Reporting and Analytics.
- Hands-on configuration experience with Business Processes, Security, and Workday Setup.
- Strong understanding of Workday Reporting (Advanced Reports, Composite, Matrix, Workday Prism).
- Solid grounding in accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS).
- Understanding of multi-entity, multi-currency consolidations.
- Exposure to financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience with audit, compliance, and controls (SOX, internal controls, statutory reporting).
- Desirable skills include exposure to UK regulatory requirements and data privacy laws, experience with cloud data platforms and ETL tools, and familiarity with data warehousing and BI solutions integrated with Workday.

Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the Workday data architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance standards.
- Lead data design workshops with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements for data flows, integrations, and reporting.
- Conduct functional design workshops with Finance stakeholders to capture requirements for Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C).
- Configure two or more of the Workday Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, Assets, Banking and Settlement, Expenses, Procurement) to meet business requirements.
- Support Chart of Accounts design, accounting rules, allocations, and financial reporting structures.
- Drive data conversion and validation activities, including open balances, suppliers, customers, and historical data migration.
- Collaborate with integration teams to ensure seamless connectivity between Workday and external systems (ERP, Payroll, Banking, Tax engines).
- Develop and test Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics for Finance leadership.
- Manage business process configurations (approvals, workflows, controls) in line with compliance and audit needs.
- Perform system testing (unit, end-to-end, UAT support), defect resolution, and cutover planning.
- Work closely with Workday Solution Architects to maintain design consistency and scalability.
- Provide knowledge transfer, training, and documentation for finance super-users and business teams.
- Ensure regulatory and compliance alignment (SOX, GAAP, IFRS) in Workday configurations.
- Support post go-live stabilization and hyper care, ensuring smooth adoption of Workday Finance.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, engaging with CFOs, Controllers, and Finance leadership.
