Test Engineer

- Proven experience as a Test Engineer or similar role - Appropriate skills and commercial experience in a software environment - Experience of functional, regression and manual testing on desktop, web and mobile applications - Exposure to automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Postman - Meticulous approach to software testing activities with a focus on high attention to detail - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present to colleagues - Able to deal effectively with unexpected situations, taking advantage of opportunities and overcoming problems - Good time management skills and ability to meet targets and fulfil agreements - A strong interest in software testing with a desire to progress and positively influence software development - Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude - Experience testing web applications across multiple browsers and devices - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues using logs, APIs and database queries to identify root causes. - Experience writing automated functional and regression tests using JavaScript (desirable) - Experience working with version control systems such as Git (desirable) - Experience in Defect Management; JIRA (desirable) - A degree in Computer Science or a relevant numerical subject (desirable) - Experience of using Linux operating systems (desirable) - Knowledge of AWS (EC2 and S3) (desirable) - API testing experience (desirable)
