Requirements
Must:
- Previous experience in a 1st or 2nd line IT support role.
- Good understanding of networking, IP addressing, and connectivity.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, Android devices, and MDM.
- Confident in producing documentation, guides, and configuration notes.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (business use insured).
- Comfortable lifting equipment and assisting with desk and office setups.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day IT support across hardware, software, and user tickets.
- Diagnose and resolve issues independently, escalating when required.
- Deliver professional, customer-focused support in person and remotely.
- Build, configure, and deploy Windows laptops using approved images.
- Support Android mobile devices via our MDM system.
- Maintain accurate asset registers, inventories, and IT documentation.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes including access setup.
- Maintain local office IT including printers, AV equipment, and entry systems.
- Assist with procurement and improvement of helpdesk processes.
- Support temporary site office IT setups including connectivity solutions.
- Travel to sites or offices approximately once per month.
- Ensure compliance with IT security, access, and audit requirements.
Description
We are seeking an experienced IT Technician to join our internal IT function on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This full-time role will involve providing first and second line support across both office and site environments. We offer a competitive salary ranging from £31,000 to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. While the position is primarily office-based, there will be occasional opportunities for remote work and flexible hours when required.
