Requirements
Must:
- Significant commercial experience building React Native applications in production environments
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
- In-depth knowledge of the React Native ecosystem, including performance optimisation and native integrations
- Proven experience delivering pixel-accurate implementations from modern design tools
- Familiarity with contemporary development workflows such as Expo, CI/CD, monorepos, and containerised or cloud-based infrastructure
- Experience developing multiple apps, working in cross-functional teams
- Solid understanding of frontend architecture, rendering behaviour, and client-server interactions
- Confidence providing technical leadership and raising engineering standards
- Clear communicator who collaborates effectively across disciplines
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with high attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Taking technical ownership of cross-platform mobile applications from development through release
- Working closely with product, design, and engineering peers to deliver intuitive, high-quality features
- Translating design concepts into production-ready interfaces, including animations and fine-grained interactions
- Championing code quality, testing, and release confidence across the mobile stack
- Improving and maintaining build, release, and deployment pipelines
- Contributing to engineering standards, technical decision-making, and best practices
- Supporting and mentoring other engineers across the team
- Keeping pace with emerging trends, tools, and patterns in mobile development
