Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a BMS Engineer with proven experience, ideally within a data centre or critical environment. You should have a good working knowledge of Trend, Siemens, or Schneider BMS systems (or similar). A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services (HVAC, plant, controls) is essential. You will need to demonstrate the ability to fault-find and carry out minor system modifications. Excellent communication, organization, and reporting skills are a must, along with relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to operate, maintain, and optimize Building Management Systems (BMS) across our data centre environments. You will monitor, analyze, and respond to system alarms and performance issues while carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on BMS and associated control systems. Your support in managing HVAC and environmental control systems will be crucial. Additionally, you will liaise with subcontractors and internal teams to resolve technical issues and identify and implement energy efficiency improvements. Maintaining accurate service records and system documentation will also be part of your responsibilities.
