Requirements
Must:
We are seeking a Cryptography Infrastructure Engineer with:
- In-depth knowledge of HSMs, specifically Entrust nShield, payShield, and/or Luna.
- Expertise in monitoring HSM functionalities and familiarity with technologies like SNMP.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to understand and accommodate the needs of multiple stakeholders.
- A collaborative spirit that values team contributions and encourages open discussions.
- An innovative mindset, crucial for developing new in-house solutions and voicing ideas for improvement.
- A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, global financial services business models, and compliance standards including local regulations and applicable laws.
- Knowledge of cryptographic modules and solutions (e.g., TPMs) and IT infrastructure technical platforms/technologies.
- Proficiency in SSH/SSL functionality and usage.
- Experience in interfacing with technology teams to translate lab concepts into operational models that effectively meet team needs.
- Familiarity with common industry cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and methodologies such as OWASP, ISO2700x series, PCI DSS, GLBA, GDPR, FFIEC guidelines, CIS, and NIST standards.
- Experience in Windows and Linux server administration.
- Strong documentation skills.
Responsibilities
As part of the Cryptography team, you will:
- Implement a new monitoring and alerting solution based on Splunk.
- Leverage your specific knowledge of Entrust nShield, payShield, or Luna HSMs to extract relevant data from the devices via SNMP.
- Collaborate closely with team members as the subject matter expert for HSMs.
- Engage with stakeholders to clarify and understand requirement details.
- Write design and test specifications related to the observability project.
- Contribute to the project documentation.
- Help define the roadmap for continual improvements in managing cryptographic services.
- Identify potential issues early and employ creative problem-solving skills to find effective solutions.
Description
We invite you to join us in Sheffield, where you'll make significant contributions to supporting the Cryptography team responsible for safeguarding the identity, confidentiality, and authenticity of trillions of dollars in global transactions. You will be required to work from the office once every two weeks, and please note that this contract is inside IR35. An opportunity awaits for an expert in cyber security and cryptography to enhance HSM observability within our encryption estate, bringing increased resilience, monitoring capabilities, and faster alerting to the forefront of our operations.
