Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience working with SIEM technologies and security monitoring
- Awareness of modern threat models (e.g. MITRE ATT&CK)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and security controls within DevOps environments
- Building and maintaining SOC detections and use cases
- Working knowledge and understanding of MOD security policies and frameworks
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Previous exposure working in a secure environment (Government, Defence or similar)
- Experience using Elastic Security, Nessus or similar
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Security Lead and technical teams to secure cutting-edge technology solutions
- Manage vulnerability assessments and security tooling
- Provide incident support and tackle security challenges
- Apply modern security practices across CI/CD and operational environments
- Build and maintain SOC detections and relevant use cases
Description
We are a Defence consultancy located in Farnborough, dedicated to innovative projects in the Defence and Security sector. Our team comprises technology professionals working collaboratively to provide effective security solutions. This role requires onsite work and successful candidates must be security cleared (SC Level). We are looking for a skilled Security Engineer to join us, offering a competitive contract rate of £500 per day.
