Requirements
Must:
- 4–5 years experience in a similar senior IT/networking role
- Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to build long-term client relationships
- Cisco routers and switches expertise
- TCP/IP networking, routing, and IT security knowledge
- Firewall configuration, management, and reporting (Fortinet)
- Windows Server administration skills
- Virtualisation experience (Hyper-V, clustering)
- Active Directory & Azure AD proficiency
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies: Azure, Office 365, Intune
- Support experience with Windows 10/11 and Apple devices (MDM: Intune, Apple, Meraki)
- Backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring knowledge
- Microsoft SQL Server experience (advantageous)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to commute to and work from the Fyfield office
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network solutions
- Configure, manage, and support firewalls (Fortinet) and Cisco networking equipment
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and manage capacity planning
- Ensure systems are monitored, backed up, patched, and secure
- Lead and manage network projects and upgrades
- Provide on-site and remote end-user support where required
- Maintain high-quality documentation, diagrams, and reports (WUG, SolarWinds, IT Glue)
- Support and mentor junior engineers and coordinate field engineers
- Work closely with senior management and other teams to deliver projects on time
