Requirements
Must:
I am looking for candidates who possess excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server versions 2008 to 2019, including NLB and clustering. A good understanding of Hyper-V and VMware ESX is essential, along with experience managing Azure, particularly Virtual Machine Infrastructure. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server and Office 365, including SharePoint and Azure AD, is required, as well as experience troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and VLANs. I expect candidates to have a good knowledge of backup and disaster recovery services like Backup Exec, Datto, and Azure, and experience managing Cisco switches and routers. Familiarity with cloud telephony systems and knowledge of iSCSI/Fibre Channel Storage Area Networks, such as EMC, are also important. Proficiency in Windows Script Host, VBScript, and PowerShell, as well as a strong understanding of Microsoft Windows 7-11, is necessary. While MCSA/MCITP: Server Administrator, VCP, or equivalent IT qualifications are advantageous, I value candidates with a strong desire to improve both personally and within the department. A customer-first approach to support is a must, alongside three years of experience in a helpdesk, technical support, or similar role, preferably in an MSP environment. Additionally, candidates must have a Full UK Driver's Licence and their own vehicle.

Responsibilities
In this role, I will need you to handle escalated calls from the first line Service Desk and administer and maintain customer infrastructure, including Active Directory, Azure AD, LAN, internet access, firewalls, and Exchange/Office 365. You will monitor and troubleshoot server and network performance, utilizing the monitoring system to ensure necessary actions are taken. Additionally, you will administer backup and disaster recovery systems and processes, manage relationships with third parties and suppliers, and keep operational documentation up to date. Attending client sites for issue resolution and proactive maintenance will be part of your responsibilities, and periodic out-of-hours and/or on-call working is required.
Description
In return for your hard work, I offer an annual salary depending on experience, with paid overtime or time off in lieu. You will be part of an out-of-hours support rota, compensated as a retainer, and will enjoy a contributory pension scheme after three months of service and successful completion of the probationary period. You will receive twenty-five days of annual leave and an additional day off on your birthday.
