Must:
I am seeking candidates with previous experience in a 1st or 2nd line support role within an MSP environment. You should be an enthusiastic problem solver with a strong passion for IT. Good technical skills in Microsoft technologies (O365 – Azure, Intune, Windows, Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft Apps) are essential, along with a solid understanding of network technologies (Sophos, Cisco, Ubiquiti, VPN, VLANs, DNS). Familiarity with cloud backup solutions and cybersecurity principles is necessary. Strong communication skills and a background in customer service are vital for this role as you will interact directly with users. You need to be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and while relevant IT certifications (such as CompTIA A, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft certifications, or Cisco certification) are a plus, they are not mandatory. You must also be available to work from the office or client’s site, 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, I expect you to diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues related to hardware, software, networks, and user accounts. You will provide clear and effective communication to users, ensuring they are kept informed about the progress of their issues. You will log and manage tickets within our service management system, ensuring all information is accurately recorded. Your duties will also include monitoring systems, performing repairs, upgrades, installations, and other routine tasks. As the first point of contact for customers both in person and remotely, you will log and resolve calls using set procedures. Additionally, you will liaise with partners and third-party companies to resolve client issues and maintain accurate technical/handover documentation and user records. Visiting client sites to troubleshoot and resolve faults or service outages will also be part of your responsibilities, and you will be expected to follow ITIL best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
