Requirements
Must:
We are looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications:
- Experience in Microsoft Windows desktop and server configuration and support.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange (On-Premises and Online) configuration and support.
- Experience with terminal server environments, including Citrix, AVD, and RDS.
- Proficiency in Active Directory configuration and administration.
- Strong understanding of Group Policy, general networking (CLI, Subnetting, NAT), and DNS.
- Experience in router configuration and support (Cisco, HP, Draytek).
- Familiarity with firewall configuration and support (Watchguard, SonicWALL).
- Knowledge of HP ProLiant and Dell PowerEdge server hardware support.
- Experience with VMware and Hyper-V (VCP certification is an advantage).
- Familiarity with storage technologies (NAS, NetApps, Synology).
- Strong understanding of Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, and SSL Certificates.
- Essential skills include excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities
As a 3rd Line IT Service Desk Engineer, my responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert-level technical support for complex issues escalated from lower tiers (1st and 2nd line support), including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related problems.
- Taking ownership of escalated incidents, ensuring resolution within agreed-upon service level agreements.
- Identifying root causes of recurring incidents and implementing long-term solutions to prevent their recurrence, along with documenting findings for future reference.
- Assessing and implementing changes to IT systems and infrastructure to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.
- Interfacing with external vendors and third-party service providers to resolve technical issues and procure necessary hardware or software.
- Providing training and mentoring to Junior Engineers and support staff.
- Expectation to be on call once a month.
