Requirements
Must:
- Strong Systems/Data/Platform/Information Architecture background
- Microsoft stack is key - Azure Cloud & Azure BI stack - PowerBI, Fabric, Data lakes
- Strong understanding of reporting, Data lakes, Data warehousing
- Strong data experience
- Experience leading on the designs for Azure based Data platforms
- Azure Synapse highly desirable
- Data centre experience
- Experience working in highly regulated environments - financial services would be ideal
Responsibilities
- Support data engineering with any solutions design and HLDs needed for the long term strategic solution move to Synapse
- Provide IT assurance of SDP changes & DCoE initiatives, supplier produced proposals, technical reporting, remediation approaches and designs
- Produce designs and other architectural artefacts as required to support delivery of SDP / DCoE projects
- Provide tech advice and guidance to the various projects and DCoE to ensure engagement with the wider architectural community and compliance with process and governance requirements
- Provide technical advice, guidance and support to the data engineering team and Architecture as required
- Produce necessary KDDs and HLDs and Solution Visions to enable the delivery of BODS decommissioning and DCX / DCoE
Description
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Systems/Data Architect to join our leading financial services client in Warwickshire for a minimum of 6 months. This role offers flexibility with 1 day per week onsite and the remainder remote working. You will support the Datacentre Exit program, the Data Centre of Excellence, and the Data Engineering team. We value candidates with a strong background in Systems/Data Architecture and experience in Azure based Data platforms.
