Requirements
Must:
- I am seeking an experienced Microsoft-focused Infrastructure Architect with strong expertise in on-premises environments.
- You should have proven experience with Infrastructure and Networking, particularly with cloud and on-premise solutions, with HPe being a key vendor.
- A solid understanding of Device Management and Security through tools like Intune is essential.
- I expect you to have the ability to assure the quality of services and systems while aligning with the broader strategy of the agency.
- Your capability to explore the benefits of cross-government alignment is crucial.
- Mentoring within teams and providing leadership to other architects is also a required skill.
- Additionally, I value candidates who can develop effective implementation and procurement strategies that adhere to relevant technical strategies, policies, and GDS standards and practices.
Responsibilities
- You will lead the technical design of systems and services, justifying and clearly communicating design decisions to other stakeholders.
- A key part of your role will involve working closely with technical team members to translate architectural designs into an operation-ready state through service introduction.
- I expect you to provide both technical guidance and hands-on support to Delivery Teams and the Operations Team as required.
Description
This role is available for a duration of 3 months and offers a competitive rate of £650 - £700 per day, with remote working flexibility. As an Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for designing and governing the IT infrastructure estate, ensuring that the organization derives maximum value from its technology investments. You will maintain relationships with relevant suppliers to ensure that services and products are delivered in alignment with industry best practices, regulatory, and contractual requirements. Your work will be pivotal in developing strategic and tactical engineering roadmaps for the technologies and services within your area of responsibility, ensuring they are future-proofed.
