Requirements
Must:
- 5 years of demonstrable industry experience as a Full Stack or Front/Backend Engineer in Typescript in a professional environment
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and Typescript
- Proficient in React, Redux, ReactQuery
- Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (React)
- Understanding of version control systems (Git)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and Websockets
- Proficiency in backend programming languages (Typescript and/or other OOP languages such as C#/Java)
- Strong database knowledge (SQL and NoSQL)
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Experience with Terraform
- Experience with automated testing
- Familiarity with AWS (AWS Lambda, AWS Fargate, Amazon API Gateway, AWS AppSync)
- Experience working within an Agile cross-functional delivery team
- Experience with low latency event-driven production environments
- Knowledge of Pub/Sub patterns with messaging technologies (such as SOLACE/AMQP)
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) flows within an enterprise environment
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organized
- Strong analytical ability and innovative problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates high levels of energy in seeking out and achieving new goals
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit the audience
Responsibilities
- Drive engineering improvements while communicating principles to team members and the wider organization
- Support the team in following a well-defined Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Lead conversations around estimation by leveraging previous experience and fostering potential solutions
- Guide discussions about software systems to facilitate meaningful architecture conversations
- Evolve systems toward target state architecture through refactoring and prioritization of deliveries
- Take ownership of the design, development, testing, and deployment of software across the team
- Work closely with the Principal Engineer, Architects, and Leads to ensure successful deployments into production environments
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
