Requirements
Must:
As our IT Technician, we look for the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in at least two of these areas:
- VM Ware
- HyperV
- Service management (ITIL desired)
- Citrix
- Azure
- Firewalls
- Networking (including VLANs and Wireless)
- Solid experience in 1st line IT support.
- Technical experience or qualifications in Microsoft and related products are desirable.
- Experience in service desk environments, ideally within an MSP setting.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to forge strong relationships.
- A methodical thinker who can break down complex problems while maintaining a practical, results-driven approach.
- Familiarity with Datacentre Technologies and Cloud Services.
- Experience in keeping documentation updated and contributing where necessary.
- Exposure to server, storage, and end-point technology.
- A desire to learn and expand knowledge within a competitive team.
- A process-oriented mindset, ensuring documentation is in place and improvements are identified and proposed.
Responsibilities
In the role of IT Technician, you will:
- Provide analytical fault-finding on networks and systems, including Servers, Switches, Firewalls, and Routers.
- Repair end-point systems, handle password resets, profile repairs/configurations for new starters, and manage mail release/blocking.
- Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical users.
- Operate within our IT service desk to support our clients' needs.
