Requirements
Must:
As a Java Developer, you will have the following experience:
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices
- Hands-on experience with functional and non-functional testing
- Skilled in developing and maintaining automated test suites
- Experience with Java (11/17/21) and the Spring Boot framework
- Knowledge of microservice architecture and API design principles
- Understanding of TDD and BDD principles
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI desirable)
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization (Kubernetes/EKS desirable)
- Ability to work in Agile delivery environments
- Knowledge of Kafka
- SC Security Clearance - Active
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to:
- Transform business requirements into production-ready code
- Ensure system robustness, resilience, and stability
- Develop and maintain a fit-for-purpose automated test suite
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation for wider consumption
- Contribute to the design of larger systems as part of a team
- Collaborate across teams, working with Lead Engineers and Technical Architects to explore technical solutions
- Review specifications with colleagues and apply agreed standards and tools to design, code, test, correct, and document programs of medium to high complexity
Description
We are seeking multiple Java Developers to join a high-profile government organization on an exciting new program of work. You will be part of a collaborative team working on modern, large-scale services that make a real difference. This position offers hybrid working options in either Manchester or Newcastle for a duration of 6 months, starting in October, with a daily rate of £500-£550 inside IR35.
