Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in Business Needs Analysis to interpret business intelligence requirements
- Expertise in designing and mapping data models, particularly star schemas
- Proven capability in Report and Dashboard Development using Power BI
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for advanced calculations within Power BI
- Familiarity with Power Query (M language) for data sourcing and transformation
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly Azure, is beneficial
- Experience in maintaining comprehensive documentation for data models and algorithms
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to identify business intelligence needs
- Translate complex requirements into scalable, data-driven solutions
- Design and implement robust data models to transform raw data
- Build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards for actionable insights
- Execute advanced data extraction and manipulation using SQL
- Manage end-to-end data preparation (ETL) using Power Query (M)
- Develop sophisticated calculations and custom measures using DAX
- Leverage cloud-based environments (primarily Azure) to optimize workflows
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for transparency and ease of maintenance
Description
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team for a 6-month remote working contract. In this role, you will autonomously design, develop, and maintain complex Business Intelligence solutions while guiding and supporting stakeholders in the public sector. We offer competitive daily rates between £500 to £550 and are committed to fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.
