We are looking for a Developer with extensive experience in IT, particularly in implementing the latest integration technologies. You should have a strong ability to identify and maximize integration opportunities, along with proficiency in presenting complex technical concepts through clear and concise executive summary reports. It is essential that you possess hands-on experience with data visualization techniques and systems integration. A solid understanding of enterprise-grade Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), such as Visual Studio, is required. You should also have a proven track record of driving change and successfully delivering systems integration projects, a strong working knowledge of databases and infrastructure technologies, and experience in software development within NICHE or similar systems. Expertise in application engineering is a must.
Responsibilities
As a Developer, your responsibilities will include managing end-to-end development lifecycles, which encompasses design, building, and supporting developed solutions, including conducting peer reviews and quality assurance. You will be responsible for managing code repositories (IDEs) to ensure version control and effective release management. Additionally, you will develop in well-established languages such as C#, Java, and .NET, as well as low and no-code solutions. You will scrutinize and enhance the integration design between applications for all software solutions delivered by our Technology Services. Fully contributing to the impact assessment process will be vital, as you will need to provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) input on proposed initiatives. We expect you to continually propose new integration solutions to increase efficiency and business effectiveness through data transformation between interfaces.
Description
This is a permanent position based in Staffordshire, offering a salary of £53,688. The role is hybrid, requiring you to be on-site for three days a week, and you must reside within one hour of Stafford. Our Digital, Data, and Technology (DDaT) team is at the forefront of transforming and supporting all digital technology needs across the force.
