- Java (versions 11/17/21) and Springboot framework
- Testing frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, REST assured, Wiremock)
- SC Security Clearance for accessing production logs
- Front-end testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium)
- Accessibility testing (WCAG)
Responsibilities
- Build and deliver comprehensive, robust, and reliable automated test frameworks and automation suites
- Conduct functional and non-functional testing
- Perform systems integration and security testing
- Carry out performance testing
- Develop and maintain automated test suites
- Work with test infrastructure tools like Docker and containerisation
- Implement TDD and BDD principles in testing
- Test micro-service architectures and APIs
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines into the testing processes
- Utilize Java and Springboot for testing frameworks
- Engage with front-end testing using tools like Selenium
- Ensure compliance with accessibility guidelines (WCAG)
Description
We are seeking an Automation Test Engineer to join a high-impact programme within a public sector organisation. This hybrid/remote contract role offers £450 per day, and is positioned in either Manchester or Newcastle. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who excel in the public sector, especially those with experience working in government or security-cleared environments.
