Must:
We are looking for individuals with extensive Software Support experience, ideally from an MSP background, and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. You should have a good understanding of databases, particularly Postgres and MSSQL, and any exposure to Software Testing would be advantageous. Proficiency in software development languages such as PHP, C, Java, and React, along with a general knowledge of common network protocols, is essential. Experience with ticketing and case management software is also required. We value excellent communication skills, a strong customer service ethos, and good problem-solving abilities. You should demonstrate teamwork and be comfortable working with all levels of staff, from senior management to end users. The ability to multitask and manage multiple issues simultaneously is crucial, alongside excellent listening skills to identify user challenges. Lastly, the ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure during difficult situations is paramount.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to provide third-line technical response support to clients in the UK, Europe, and the rest of the world. You will deliver prompt second-line technical support to the Customer Service Desk, field engineers, and designated key client service engineers. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining all technical support documentation and providing networking and software setup support to field engineers. When necessary, you will attend sites to offer technical assistance and configure devices before dispatch to engineers or customers. You will also handle remote setup work for new clients and conduct on-site training as needed, as well as remote training sessions, either one-on-one or via webinars.

This position is a permanent role based in Leicester (Post Code: LE7 1HR) with a salary range of £35,000 to £38,000. The ideal candidate will be someone currently working as a 2nd or 3rd Line Software Support, Technical Support, or Network Support, and should be living within a commutable distance to Leicester or willing to relocate.
