Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience supporting Enterprise Infrastructure
- Experience working in a third Line IT Support team
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work calmly and methodically under pressure
- Competence in cloud platform management (Azure/AWS)
- Knowledge of ITIL and virtualization platform management (Nutanix/VMWare/Hyper-V)
- Experience with storage management (Dell Compellent/PowerStore/PowerScale, HPE Nimble)
- Familiarity with software-defined and hardware platform management (Dell/HP Server & Storage hardware)
- Proficient in Windows Server management including Roles & Features (Active Directory / DNS / DHCP / Group Policy / Certificate Services)
- Knowledge of backup products/strategies, network infrastructure, High Availability infrastructure, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity strategies
Responsibilities
- Manage the ITSM Queue and adhere to defined SLAs for infrastructure incidents and problems
- Resolve tickets to end users’ satisfaction
- Work across various infrastructure technologies including compute, storage, cloud, and remote desktop
- Follow change management processes to document, implement, and verify changes
- Conduct pro-active research, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and identification of solutions to resolve system issues
- Document and transfer knowledge of solutions to peers and end users
- Take ownership of reported issues and ensure successful resolution
- Follow standard procedures for escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams/vendors
- Remediate vulnerabilities identified by Cyber scanning tools or vendor security bulletins
- Contribute to and develop the team knowledge base
- Mentor and coach team members, serving as a point of escalation
- Monitor the environment and maintain familiarity with monitoring solutions
- Prepare accurate and timely reports
- Participate in projects for new acquisitions and solutions including architecture reviews and implementation tasks
- Maintain and build relationships with teams across different geographical regions (EMEA, NA, LATAM, APAC)
- Assist in globalizing Syscos infrastructure services
- Participate in an on-call rota to provide support outside of working hours
Description
We are currently recruiting for 3 Hybrid Cloud Engineers to join our Europe Infrastructure team on a full-time, permanent basis, based out of our Belfast office. Working at a senior technical level, you will support technical infrastructure solutions, both on-premise and in the public cloud, for Sysco Europe. You will focus on delivering a premium support service to our internal customers while helping to drive business success in a large multinational company. Some travel within Europe may be required.
