Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a SQL Database Developer with strong hands-on SQL development skills, including MS SQL Server, T-SQL, indexing, stored procedures, and relational/dimensional modelling. Experience with cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Azure SQL would be beneficial. You should also possess experience across the full SQL development lifecycle, which includes design, development, documentation, and testing. Advantageous skills include knowledge of Power BI, NoSQL, Azure Synapse, data visualization tools, Data Lakes, streaming technologies, MDM, Git, and DevOps pipelines.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to design, develop, and maintain SQL-based solutions that power core business applications. You will be responsible for building and optimizing data pipelines and integrations across cloud platforms. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including data architects, analysts, testers, and managers, to ensure effective delivery and implementation.
Description
This is a permanent career opportunity based in Derby, and we ask that you be willing to work from our Derby office full-time. Our company is an established and growing software business that develops data solutions for large retail brands. We hope to have you start ideally in Spring or Summer 2025. We also offer a competitive salary range of £40,000 - £50,000 (dependent on experience) along with benefits including 25 days of holiday (plus bank holidays), pension, company bonus, and more.
