Requirements
Must:
We are looking for an IT Support Engineer who has experience providing second-line IT support, including trouble-shooting, diagnosis, and resolution of technical issues. You should be familiar with a variety of customer IT environments, which encompasses servers, networks, IT infrastructure, desktops, telephony, applications, software, hardware, and IT cyber security. Key supported technologies include Windows Server, Office 365, and various firewalls (such as Watchguard and Draytek). Additionally, advantageous skills include VMware or Hyper-V, hosted telecoms (like Mitel, 3CX, Gamma, Horizon), IP telephony, Linux, AWS/Azure Cloud, access control systems, business continuity/disaster recovery, and CCTV IP. A formal IT qualification is preferred, such as MCP, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, ITSM, CompTIA, or Cyber Essentials. It’s also beneficial to have experience working for an IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT support businesses. A full UK driving license is preferred.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to provide IT support at the second line level while identifying and resolving problems efficiently. Your responsibilities will include supporting the delivery of various IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and implementations. You will work closely with our team to ensure our clients receive top-notch support across different IT environments.
Description
This is a permanent opportunity based in Derby with a hybrid working model, allowing you to work four days a week from the office and one day from home. We offer a competitive salary range of £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience, along with 22 days of holiday (plus bank holidays), an additional day off on your birthday, a pension scheme, healthcare benefits, and opportunities for training and career development.
