Requirements
Must:
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric enterprise data platform
- Experience with Lakehouse and OneLake organization
- Knowledge of data ingestion and transformation pipelines (Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks)
- Proven ability to establish modelling standards for Gold Layer and semantic models
- Skills in performance optimization, lineage/observability, and governance
- Familiarity with RBAC, security, and data retention practices
- Experience in team leadership and mentoring
- Proficient in stakeholder management and reporting
- Excellent planning and coordination skills for internal and external teams
- Ability to coordinate multi-source integration and ensure quality testing
- Proficiency in ensuring operational readiness with documentation and run books
- SC Clearance preferred or eligibility to undergo SC Clearance vetting process
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture for Microsoft Fabric including Lakehouse and OneLake organization
- Define and implement ingestion and transformation pipelines
- Establish modelling standards for Gold Layer and semantic models
- Lead and mentor the team, setting delivery standards
- Review designs and unblock delivery challenges
- Plan and coordinate activities of internal squads and external suppliers
- Manage risks and issues while meeting project milestones
- Engage with stakeholders including product owners and analysts for progress updates
- Coordinate multi-source integration, ensuring reliable data ingestion
- Oversee testing and validation of reporting practices
- Ensure operational readiness by meeting documentation and non-functional requirements
Description
We are a leading global IT and Digital transformation business specializing in Government projects, located in Central London. We offer a hybrid working environment, allowing you to work 3 days a week remotely and 2 days a week on-site. This is a 6-month contract position, with a competitive pay rate of £500 per day (Inside IR35). We are looking for someone who can start ideally in January 2026.
