Requirements
Must:
- Strong Microsoft Fabric enterprise data platform expertise
- Active SC Security Clearance
- Experience in data architecture, specifically with Lakehouse and OneLake organization
- Proficient in defining and implementing ingestion and transformation pipelines including Dataflows Gen2 and Notebooks
- Ability to establish modelling standards for Gold Layer and semantic models
- Knowledge of performance optimization, lineage/observability, governance, RBAC, and data retention
- Previous experience in team leadership, mentoring, and delivery management
- Skills in stakeholder management and progress/risk reporting
- Experience with multi-source integration and orchestration
- Capability to ensure operational readiness with documentation and run books
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the Microsoft Fabric architecture including Lakehouse and OneLake organization
- Set standards and mentor the team to direct and unblock delivery
- Plan and coordinate with internal squads and external suppliers
- Manage risks and issues, ensuring project milestones are met
- Engage with product owners, analysts, and tech leads for stakeholder management
- Coordinate reliable ingestion and testing of multi-source data
- Ensure operational readiness by meeting documentation and non-functional requirements
- Establish baseline Gold Layer model components for consistent semantic models and reporting
Description
We are a leading global IT and Digital transformation business specializing in Government projects, offering a hybrid working model with 3 days remote and 2 days in our office located in Central London. This is a 6-month contract position, where we offer a competitive pay rate of £500 per day (Inside IR35), and we aim to have the successful candidate start as soon as possible, ideally in December 2025 or January 2026.
