Requirements
Must:
- Active SC Security Clearance
- Strong back-end Java experience
- Proficiency in Java 8/11/17
- Experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
- Familiarity with JEE standards (JPA, JMS, CDI)
- Knowledge of REST APIs
- Experience with Oracle DB and PL/SQL
- Skills in microservices development on AWS/Azure Cloud platforms
- Understanding of design patterns
- Experience in Java development for large-scale integration projects
- Familiarity with messaging, web services, and distributed systems
- Knowledge of AWS (ECS, EKS, API Gateway, Serverless)
- Experience with ELK stack (Kibana)
- Proficiency in DevOps/CI tools (Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ)
- Understanding of Agile development methods (Scrum, TDD, BDD, Kanban)
- Advantageous: Government / GOV.UK / Public Sector experience
- Advantageous: Containerisation (Docker / Kubernetes)
- Advantageous: Experience with AppDynamics, Angular, React, web apps, domain driven design (DDD)
Responsibilities
- Develop new features for a portfolio of Government Clients
- Collaborate with team members in a hybrid work environment
- Participate in the design and implementation of microservices
- Utilize Java technologies to enhance system integration
- Write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Contribute to the development of project estimates and timelines
- Participate in Agile ceremonies to coordinate project progress
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the development cycle
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies
