Requirements
Must:
- Active SC Clearance and NPPV3 Security Clearance
- Strong hands-on Java development expertise (Java 17, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA)
- Experience with Microservices, REST, and SOAP Web Services
- Proven experience developing solutions for large-scale integration projects
- Proficiency in connecting processes across multiple systems using message brokers like ActiveMQ
- Robust experience with Web Services (SOAP, RESTful) and containerization (Docker)
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (Mockito, JUnit, Powermock, etc.)
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration methodologies (Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube)
- Experience with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, SQS, RDS, etc.)
- Helpful experience with Linux, Atlassian products, and PostgreSQL
Responsibilities
- Develop solutions for a large-scale Government/Public Sector programme
- Engage in hands-on Java development and integration tasks
- Support live systems by diagnosing and resolving incidents
- Participate in continuous integration processes and methodologies
- Collaborate with team members using Agile/Scrum practices
- Conduct occasional travel to the Croydon office as needed
Description
We are a leading global IT transformation business specializing in delivering large-scale Government and Public Sector projects. This position is a 6-month contract based in Birmingham with hybrid working arrangements, allowing you to work 3 days remotely and 2 days on-site. We offer competitive pay rates of £450-500 per day, outside IR35, with a start date as early as February 2026.
