Requirements
Must:
- Strong Government Digital Services (GDS) experience
- Proficiency in Interaction Design, User Centred Design (UCD), and UX/UI design
- Experience with design tools such as Heroku, Figma, and Sketch
- Ability to lead the design of digital products and services
- Experience in translating user research findings into actionable designs
- Skill in creating high-quality wireframes, prototypes, and user flows
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (GDS, NHS service principles, WCAG)
- Strong collaboration skills with multi-disciplinary teams
- Mentoring experience with junior team members
- Government/GDS/GOV.UK domain experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Apply user-centred design principles to deliver impactful solutions
- Lead the design of intuitive, effective, and engaging interactions
- Shape design strategies and mentor junior team members
- Ensure work meets user needs and business goals
- Translate user research findings into actionable interaction designs
- Create high-quality wireframes, prototypes, and user flows
- Communicate design concepts clearly to stakeholders
- Ensure designs align with accessibility standards
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams as a trusted advisor
Description
We are a leading global IT transformation business specializing in delivering large-scale Government digital modernization projects. We offer a hybrid working environment, allowing you to work remotely 3-4 days a week and on-site from our Manchester office 1-2 days a week.
