We are seeking an IT Support Engineer with the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience in providing remote IT technical support at 1st/2nd line levels.
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory (AD), DHCP, DNS, Group Policies, Office 365, and RRAS.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts.
- Soft skills including strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, logical thinking, proactiveness, and effective prioritization.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- A full UK Driving Licence is essential.
Responsibilities
As an IT Support Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day IT support to our clients across the Midlands.
- Ensuring that all support actions are logged and managed through our IT helpdesk.
- Visiting customer sites to fulfill IT service requests.
- Engaging in system monitoring, error logging, and fault-tracking.
- Managing IT incidents to ensure maximum service availability.
- Tracking IT assets and provisioning services.
- Managing IT accounts for new starters and leavers.
Description
This is a permanent role based in Derby, offering a salary of up to £33,000 depending on experience. We are an established IT Services business with a proven track record spanning 20 years, and we are looking for someone to start as soon as December 2025 or January 2026.
