Must:
We are looking for a Databricks Engineer with active SC Security Clearance. You should possess strong hands-on Azure Databricks expertise along with in-depth knowledge of Azure Data Services, Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure SQL Database. A solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, including data modeling techniques and data integration patterns, is essential. Additionally, experience with complex data pipelines, large data sets, and data pipeline optimization is crucial. Familiarity with Spark, PySpark, or Scala, and working with SQL/MySQL databases is required. You should also have experience with data quality and governance processes, Git version control, and Agile development environments. An Azure Data Engineer certification, such as the Azure Data Engineer Associate, is preferred.
Responsibilities
As a Databricks Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, building, and optimizing data pipelines. Your role will involve implementing data transformations and ensuring data quality and reliability. You will work on developing a cutting-edge Azure Databricks platform for economic data modeling, analysis, and forecasting.
Description
This is a 6-month contract position based in Central London with hybrid working arrangements, allowing for 2 days of remote work and 3 days on-site. This opportunity offers you a chance to collaborate with a leading global IT and digital transformation business specializing in government projects. If you have advantageous skills such as Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, data visualization tools, Power BI, Tableau, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, or Jenkins, we encourage you to apply. We are looking to start the position as soon as possible in November or December 2025. The daily rate for this position ranges between £550-600 and falls within IR35 regulations.
