Essential skills we're looking for include: - A solid grounding in IT fundamentals, including networking basics, operating systems, and virtualization concepts. - Familiarity with public cloud concepts. - A basic understanding of cybersecurity principles. - Genuine enthusiasm for hands-on learning—your home lab, certifications, projects, GitHub, or university projects all count. - Clear written and verbal communication, with comfort in speaking to customers (supported by our senior team).

Responsibilities

As a Junior Cloud Operations Engineer, you will support business-as-usual operations across the Azure stack, learning how to deliver, operate, and improve real customer environments with expert guidance. You can expect varied responsibilities, including: - Engaging in measurable progress via the Synextra Academy, our in-house training program designed to help direct your career growth. - Exposure to wider MSP and ISP tech. - Handling varied tickets, small projects, troubleshooting, and plenty of opportunities to build real-world skills under supervision. - Working from our modern Warrington office on an 8.5-hour day schedule, Monday to Friday, with occasional shift rotations and twilight shift allowances to support customer coverage while maintaining a work-life balance. There will also be out-of-hours work involved, including on-call and overtime.
