Must:
We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in product design and manufacturing processes, and proven expertise in model-based engineering and definition. You will need proficiency with Siemens NX, particularly in the context of model-based definition, and experience with Siemens Teamcenter. A solid understanding of manufacturing engineering and process planning is essential, along with strong engineering principles. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are a must.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the implementation of model-based definition strategies across our engineering department. You will work closely with technical and business architects to optimize the configuration of NX and Teamcenter toolsets to maximize the benefits of model-based definition (MBD). Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key as you integrate MBD into the product lifecycle. You will develop and maintain best practices, standards, and guidelines for MBD, as well as provide guidance and content to aid in the creation of training materials for engineering teams. Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of MBD initiatives to recommend improvements will also be part of your duties. Furthermore, you will collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure proper data governance, version control, and a seamless digital thread throughout the product lifecycle. You will also document solution designs and support business transformation initiatives related to MBD and engineering processes.
Description
This position is an integral part of a fast-paced digital transformation project based on Product Lifecycle Management, underpinning the delivery of world-class defense products. The software tools involved include Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and Capital, with a future expansion into a SAP-centric manufacturing domain. While our initial focus is on the Design and Manufacturing Engineering phases, we aim to broaden our scope to encompass the consumption of design information for manufacturing, assembly, procurement, quality assurance, and commissioning. Essentially, we are dedicated to creating a Digital Thread of product design and build intent. Remote work is available on client-provided equipment, with on-site office days expected to be two or three times a fortnight. Workshops will typically take place at client sites and occasionally at software vendor locations. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
