Requirements
Must:
- I require advanced Java programming experience.
- I expect a strong understanding of microservices designs, including their pitfalls and best practices.
- Familiarity with Domain Driven Design and event-driven architecture is essential.
- I look for experience working with contained and orchestrated services using Docker and Kubernetes.
- You should have experience in building and maintaining DevOps pipelines for application delivery, ideally using GitLab.
- Knowledge of shift-left testing principles and frameworks is crucial, including tools such as JUnit, Cucumber, Gherkin, Contract Test (PACT), TestContainers, or similar technologies.
- A working knowledge of event and message brokers, such as Kafka and MQ, is necessary.
- Strong experience in Object-Oriented Programming is expected.
- A solid grasp of Java 17 and higher, including advanced features and experience with Spring Boot, is required.
- Experience working with data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and multi-threading is important.
- I require strong SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, such as Postgres.
- Familiarity with major public cloud platforms, preferably AWS, is a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and the Scrum/Kanban model is essential.

- This is a full-time position at the mid-senior level, specifically for an experienced Senior Java Developer.
- As part of an exciting new program, you will be joining our team in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to help build a complex, ground-up, cloud-based critical market infrastructure service for a leading financial organization.
