Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 5 years experience in senior IT management
- Proven track record managing IT across multiple geographical sites
- Deep technical expertise across Microsoft 365, Azure, and enterprise infrastructure
- Demonstrable experience with system integrations (EDI/API development)
- Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills
- Budget management experience
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy
- (Desirable) Experience in transport/logistics or similar operational sector
- (Desirable) Microsoft certifications (Azure, M365, Security)
- (Desirable) ITIL Foundation or equivalent
- (Desirable) Experience authoring board papers and presenting to senior leadership
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IT strategy aligned with business objectives
- Author and present IT board papers to senior leadership
- Lead Cyber Essentials Plus certification and ongoing compliance
- Drive digital transformation initiatives across the organisation
- Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, and on-premise infrastructure across multiple sites
- Oversee information security, including Mimecast platform, MFA deployment, and cyber awareness training
- Design and develop EDI/API integrations for automated customer data exchange
- Manage centralised VoIP, RDS environments, and enterprise networking
- Manage IT budgets and deliver year-on-year cost savings
- Lead contract negotiations and review all technology contracts before signature
- Deliver complex IT projects on time and within budget
- Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements
