Requirements
Must:
- 1 year plus commercial software testing experience
- Understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and its integration with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Ability to write clear and reproducible test cases
- Familiarity with bug reporting and tracking tools like Jira or similar
- Manual testing experience
- Experience with UI/Browser-based testing
- Basic knowledge of API testing tools like TestRail or Postman is a plus
- Some familiarity with SQL is beneficial but not essential
- Attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
- Good communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow professionally
- ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or similar is advantageous but not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the project team to understand project requirements and objectives
- Develop detailed test plans outlining scope, objectives, and strategies
- Create and maintain comprehensive test cases, scripts, and data
- Execute test cases and systematically record results
- Identify defects, track them in a defect tracking system, and work with developers for resolution
- Conduct regression testing to verify software changes
- Maintain documentation for test plans, cases, and results
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure understanding of project requirements
- Stay updated on industry best practices and suggest process improvements
- Generate and distribute test reports to communicate testing status and issues
