Requirements
Must:
- 1 year plus commercial software testing experience
- Understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and its integration with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Ability to write clear and reproducible test cases
- Knowledge of bug reporting and tracking tools like Jira or similar
- Manual testing experience
- Basic knowledge of API testing using tools like TestRail or Postman (useful but not essential)
- Familiarity with SQL (useful but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Good communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and accept training, with ambition to improve skills and progress your career
- ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or similar (useful but not essential)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the project team to understand project requirements and objectives and develop detailed test plans
- Create and maintain comprehensive test cases, test scripts, and test data that cover various aspects of the software
- Execute test cases and record test results systematically, identifying defects and tracking them in a defect tracking system
- Conduct regression testing to verify software changes do not introduce new defects
- Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a shared understanding of project requirements and quality goals
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging testing methodologies
- Generate and distribute test reports to project stakeholders to communicate the status of testing efforts
