Requirements
Must:
- To be considered for this role, candidates must have an active SC Clearance.
- I require a candidate with a strong background in cyber security and hands-on SOC experience.
- Strong leadership skills are essential, particularly in coordinating with SOC teams, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
- Proven experience in managing and responding to advanced security incidents is a must.
- I need someone who is comfortable participating in out-of-hours on-call duties when needed.
- A confident communicator who can engage effectively across teams is crucial for this position.
Responsibilities
- You will provide senior-level support to ensure the robustness and reliability of our SOC operations.
- Overseeing escalated alerts using advanced SIEM logic and AI-based threat detection will be part of your role.
- I expect you to improve alert enrichment, case management, and investigation workflows continuously.
- You will act as a key escalation point for complex security incidents and stakeholder queries.
- Guiding and mentoring SOC Analysts by offering technical direction and oversight is a key responsibility.
- Leading threat simulation exercises to support team development and readiness will be part of your tasks.
- I also expect your assistance aligning and integrating physical and personnel security within the SOC function.
- Supporting the successful transition of services into business-as-usual operations is part of driving our ongoing success.
Description
- I am looking for a Senior SOC Analyst to join our Security Operations Centre (SOC) team and provide expert-level support across incident detection, analysis, and response. This role is critical for strengthening our security operations, where you will lead investigations, mentor analysts, and optimize SOC processes and tooling. In this fast-moving environment, your strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities will shine as you manage high-priority incidents. This contract role is 6-12 months long, with the expectation of being accessible to London for ad-hoc duties (4-6 days per month). The pay is INSIDE IR35 and negotiable based on your experience.
