We are seeking a Microsoft Security Engineer with 8-10 years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically with Microsoft security solutions. A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Ideal candidates should have hands-on expertise with Microsoft Defender XDR, Purview, and Entra ID. Additionally, proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management, along with familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, is essential. Preferred certifications include SC-200 (Security Operations Analyst), SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator), SC-400 (Information Protection Administrator), and CISSP.
Responsibilities
As our Microsoft Security Engineer, I will expect you to manage and monitor endpoint, email, identity, and cloud security using Microsoft Defender XDR. You will implement Data Loss Prevention and Information Protection policies through Microsoft Purview and configure Insider Risk Management to monitor communications for policy compliance. You will also apply Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) to identify and mitigate data risks, including those related to AI. Furthermore, you will manage identities, groups, and access through Microsoft Entra ID, incorporating Conditional Access, MFA, and Privileged Identity Management. Securing BYOD and other devices while monitoring for compromised credentials will be part of your duties. You will also be responsible for documenting incident response processes and providing regular security reports.
Description
This position is based in London with a hybrid work model, requiring 2-3 days in the office. The day rate for this role is £586.50 (Inside IR35), and the contract duration is 6 months. We are looking for a proactive individual who possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and collaboration abilities. It is crucial that you are proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced threat environment, ready to respond effectively to emerging challenges.
