Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer within enterprise network environments
- Expertise in Cisco infrastructure and Software Defined Access (SDA) environments
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling remediation and cable management practices
- Familiarity with Power Distribution Unit (PDU) management and compliance standards
- Ability to work in live network conditions, ensuring operational standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Relevant certifications in networking or infrastructure management are a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform comms cabinet remediation to prepare racks for CCTV and network equipment installations
- Execute port purge activities, identifying and removing unused, redundant, or abandoned cabling from communications rooms
- Conduct rack space optimisation, repositioning or removing equipment to create sufficient installation clearance
- Remove legacy telecoms infrastructure obstructing switch access
- Complete space remediation to improve rack capacity, airflow, and cabinet organisation
- Deliver structured cabling remediation, removing redundant cabling and improving cable routing
- Clear patch panel and cable management obstructions to restore structured cabling pathways
- Implement best practice cable management to improve accessibility, maintenance, and airflow
- Ensure racks are configured for efficient equipment installation and operational access
- Prepare cabinets to support CCTV NVRs, switches, and associated network infrastructure
- Adjust and relocate PDUs to maintain safe power distribution
- Perform PDU remediation to ensure compliance with infrastructure standards
- Reorganise fibre panels and patching infrastructure to prevent cable conflicts
- Work within Cisco enterprise network environments, supporting infrastructure upgrades
