Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a qualified candidate with strong experience in Informatica development and IDMC cloud migration. You should have a solid understanding of data warehouse and ETL concepts, as well as proficiency in SQL and database design principles. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell will be beneficial. We expect you to have strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and collaboration abilities. You should also demonstrate a keen willingness to learn and adapt to emerging tools and technologies. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required. Additionally, hands-on experience with Informatica or similar ETL tools is essential.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into data warehouses or data marts. You will support the setup and cloud migration of Informatica IDMC, and write efficient SQL queries, including joins and data comparisons across multiple tables. Collaborating with both business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions is a key part of the job. You will also maintain and enhance existing ETL processes, ensuring accuracy, performance, and reliability. Performing data quality checks and resolving issues across data pipelines will be necessary. Participation in code reviews to recommend improvements, documenting workflows and processes for clarity and maintainability, and applying best practices in ETL development and data integration are also part of your responsibilities. Leveraging scripting languages such as Python or Shell will be considered advantageous.
Description
This position is based in Milton Keynes and is hybrid, requiring two days per week on-site. The contract is expected to last until 31 December 2025, with a day rate of £318 (Inside IR35). We encourage interested candidates to submit their CVs for immediate consideration.
