Requirements
Must:
- Proficient in Python or Node.js for GCP development
- Solid experience with GCP services including Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, IAM, and GCS
- Familiarity with Apigee for API management
- Comfortable with Excel macros and VBA scripting
- Version control knowledge through Azure DevOps Repos or similar
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- GCP certification (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Developer) preferred
- Experience with CI/CD processes and managing large datasets/ETL pipelines
Responsibilities
- Develop serverless applications using Cloud Functions (Python or Node.js)
- Build and optimize data pipelines utilizing Cloud Dataflow
- Manage relational databases through Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
- Implement workflows using Google Cloud Storage triggers and IAM permissions
- Integrate APIs using Apigee
- Create Excel-based automation using VBA/macros
- Maintain code in Azure DevOps Git and support CI/CD workflows
- Collaborate effectively within agile teams
Description
We are looking for a skilled GCP Cloud Developer to design and implement scalable, serverless applications and cloud-native solutions on the Google Cloud Platform. The position is hybrid, requiring attendance 3 days per week in Warwick and offers a competitive pay rate (inside IR35) of up to £475 per day. This contract role is expected to last between 6 to 12 months, starting ASAP.
