Requirements
Must:
We expect you to have proven expertise in ETL and data warehouse testing, including ETL/ELT processes. You should possess strong proficiency in SQL scripting, with the ability to write and execute complex queries. Experience with structured and unstructured data testing is essential. A good understanding of Azure data services, including Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse (Azure SQL DW), Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake is required. You should be familiar with data testing concepts and best practices within data warehouse environments. Experience with Python/PySpark scripting for test development is also necessary, and exposure to data testing automation is highly advantageous. We prefer candidates with experience in the insurance domain and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Previous experience in an Agile development environment is also desired.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Manual, ETL, and visualisation projects. You will publish test results, track defects, and ensure a timely resolution of issues. Liaising effectively with Test Leads, Business Analysts, Designers, and Developers will be a critical part of your role as you work to identify issues and mitigate risks. You'll be tasked with delivering testing artefacts in line with our established QA processes and driving the end-to-end execution of testing activities, including test automation. Additionally, you will contribute to quality assurance processes across planning, execution, defect reporting, and problem resolution.
Description
We are located in London and offer both on-site and hybrid working options. This contract position is set to last until 31st December 2025, and the day rate is £579.70 (inside IR35). We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
