Requirements
Must:
- At least 5 years of experience in software delivery within banking, finance, or fintech.
- Strong DevOps experience and familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Nexus/Sonatype, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Ansible).
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and knowledge of database concepts for querying and data analysis.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions, integrations, or divestitures is a plus.
- Additional language skills, knowledge of IT controls, and experience in large matrix organizations are advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of building strong working relationships with stakeholders.
- An independent and proactive mindset, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and a "can-do" attitude.
- Skilled in gathering, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements.
- Proficient in process mapping, analysis, and identifying opportunities for automation and optimization within a DevOps environment.
Responsibilities
- Support a portfolio of projects by assisting DevOps teams with analysis, planning, data extraction, application builds, testing, migration, and post-live support.
- Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements with a focus on streamlining processes.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of project goals and requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the DevOps framework.
- Utilize monitoring and logging tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
Description
We are offering a hybrid working model with 60% office presence and 40% remote work based in Sheffield. The position will last until 30th October 2026, with a competitive day rate of £289 (inside IR35). We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst who is proactive, independent, and can take ownership of their work while maintaining effective communication with the team.
