We are looking for candidates with proven experience in leading AWS-focused teams and projects. A strong expertise in AWS architecture, migration, and cloud best practices is essential, along with proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and automation tools. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills are also key to success in this role.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead and manage a team of AWS engineers and architects. You'll define and deliver cloud adoption and migration strategies, design and implement secure, scalable AWS architectures, and oversee the deployment, monitoring, and optimization of AWS infrastructure. Additionally, you'll conduct well-architected reviews to ensure compliance with best practices, manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, mentor team members while providing technical guidance, and collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application Development teams. You will also drive automation using IaC tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, as well as CI/CD pipelines. It will be important for you to stay up to date with AWS services and emerging cloud technologies.
Description
This position is for an AWS Platform Lead based in Knutsford. Candidates must be located within 1 hour of Knutsford or be willing to relocate. The contract duration extends until 31st December 2025, with a day rate of £425 (Inside IR35). The role requires an onsite presence of 2-3 days per week (non-consecutive) to ensure effective collaboration and leadership within the team.
