Requirements
Must:
We are looking for an AWS Cloud Engineer with at least 8 years of experience in software development. You should have proven expertise in AWS cloud engineering and serverless architecture, alongside strong Terraform experience for AWS infrastructure automation. A deep knowledge of core AWS services, including S3, IAM, Lambda, Glue, API Gateway, Athena, CloudTrail, Aurora/RDS, and SQS is essential. Experience with Glue Crawlers, EUP, and Secrets Manager is necessary, while familiarity with Spark and Python for data engineering is desirable. Experience with SageMaker Unified Studio will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to design and build resilient, service-oriented architecture using AWS primitives. You will develop RESTful APIs with AWS API Gateway and Lambda, and implement and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform. You will optimize AWS services, including S3, IAM, Athena, Glue, Lambda, and API Gateway, and support integration above metadata repositories for One Bank Data Quality services. Additionally, I will rely on your contribution to serverless application development using AWS Lambda and your ability to maintain secure cloud environments using Secrets Manager, IAM, and CloudTrail. As part of the team, you will collaborate on the deployment and orchestration of AWS-native services, automate infrastructure delivery pipelines, and apply best practices in AWS infrastructure design and management.
Description
The position starts ASAP for an initial duration of 5 months, with extensions likely. It is based in Central London with a hybrid work model, ideally requiring 2 days on-site each week. This role is INSIDE IR35, offering a pay rate of up to £510 per day.
