Requirements
Must:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with MES applications (e.g., Apriso, InSequence, Nysus, Solidat, or similar).
- Database knowledge and query skills (Oracle/PostgreSQL preferred).
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerBI).
- Exposure to programming and scripting languages.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and support all MES systems within the plant.
- Collaborate with production, process, and third-party teams to develop robust MES communication interfaces.
- Develop custom reports, dashboards, and labeling solutions.
- Define specifications/requirements for MES functionality to consolidate and improve systems integration.
- Coordinate MES Technicians to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Engage with senior leadership on projects, improvements, and daily operations.
- Manage third-party suppliers to ensure tested, compliant solutions.
- Assist in project planning and support program launch targets.
- Participate in the out-of-hours call rota.
Description
We are passionate about manufacturing technology and driving continuous improvement. We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing IT Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting MES software solutions, ensuring seamless integration between production systems, IT infrastructure, and third-party applications. The salary for this position is up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
