Requirements
Must:
- Degree or equivalent level qualification or experience.
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent.
- Knowledge of supporting Business applications and their databases, preferably Housing related systems within a Local Government environment.
- Technical knowledge of Operating Systems: Windows 11 and MS Server 20xx.
- Technical knowledge of Databases: Oracle SQL, MS SQL, MS Access and MS Azure.
- Scripting knowledge: MS-DOS, Visual Basic and / or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of Reporting tools: SAP Business Objects and MS Power BI.
- Proficiency in Tools: MS Office 365 and associated products, SSMS, IIS, SFTP.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information succinctly to various audiences.
- Excellent written skills with ability to present to small groups.
- Familiarity with the handling of service desk Incidents, Requests, and Change Controls.
- Ability to design, adopt, implement and use appropriate procedures, methods, and tools for consistent service delivery.
- Effective prioritization and planning skills to meet deadlines and manage potential conflicts.
- Flexibility and adaptability to change.
- Ability to create and maintain positive professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Self-awareness of strengths and weaknesses impacting service delivery and willingness to seek improvement.
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced-level technical support for Housing Applications and their Databases.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex IT issues that cannot be resolved by 1st or 2nd line support teams.
- Perform proactive maintenance, including upgrades, applying patches, checking system logs, taking backups, and supporting business procedures.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Develop and/or implement new ICT solutions in response to changing business requirements.
- Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest IT trends and best practices.
